This privacy policy has been prepared by Elstad Fabrication AS to ensure that you as a customer and visitor to our site receive the information we are required to provide you, and which is necessary for you to be able to exercise your rights under current personal data legislation.

Personal information is information or an assessment that can be linked to an individual or a small group of people. Name, username, telephone number, address and payment history are examples of what can be considered to be personal data. Elstad Fabrication AS is responsible for processing your personal data. When we process (that is, collect, store or in other ways handle) personal data, we are primarily responsible for complying with the provisions set out in the current personal data legislation. 

What personal data do we process about you?
When you order goods/services from us, we will be able to process the following personal data about you:

• Contact information: Full name, e-mail address, postal and residential address and telephone number.

• Payment information: Various information about your order, including the price of services/goods and information that is necessary for the company to carry out the sale and process payment for the services/goods.

• Customer history: Information about your previous purchases with us, such as date and services/goods, as well as any complaints.

• Cookies: This website uses cookies from elstadfabrication.no, Google analytics and Facebook.

Depending on the circumstances, it may be necessary for Elstad Fabrication AS to also process other categories of personal data. For example, this will be the case where a customer complaint is submitted and where a complaint is made about a delivery. Why and on what basis do we process this information about you?
We process the contact information and payment information to deliver the goods you order from us and to process payment for them. We process customer history to ensure that you can make use of your warranty and to follow up on any complaints. If you have agreed to receive the newsletter, we will process your name and email address in order to send you the newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing at the bottom of the page in each newsletter.

Do we disclose your personal data?
We make use of various service providers such as Stripe, who provide us with payment services. We have entered into data processing agreements with these service providers which, among other things, require the relevant companies to ensure that personal data that these service providers may process on our behalf is stored in a secure manner and that it does not come into unauthorized hands.

We will not disclose your personal data to other third parties unless we are required by law to disclose this information or you have consented to it.

How long will we keep your personal data?
We will delete or anonymize your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (and continued storage will not be in accordance with the Personal Data Act) or when continued storage is not necessary to fulfill statutory obligations (for example under the Bookkeeping Act).

What rights do you have?
You have the following rights in connection with our processing of your personal data:

• Correction: If the personal data we hold about you is incorrect, you can contact us at any time and demand that we correct it. Correction may be relevant where, for various reasons, incorrect information has been registered with us about you as our customer, for example the wrong address.

• Access: You can download or get in touch if you want to know more about which personal data we process about you.

• Deletion: You can at any time ask us to delete your personal data yourself or ask us to delete your personal data, which we will respect and comply with unless we are required to keep your personal data for other reasons or have another processing basis for keeping them. As an example, we may be required to store personal data due to rules in the Bookkeeping Act.

• Restrictions on processing: You can at any time ask us not to carry out certain processing activities, for example where you do not wish to receive marketing inquiries from us.

• Data portability: Where we process personal data about you based on consent or to carry out an agreement, you can ask us to hand over the personal data to you or to a third party you wish to have access to this data. Please note that we may need to ask you to identify yourself or use another communication channel as we may need to ensure that you are who you claim to be.

The Norwegian Data Protection Authority and current personal data legislation
In order to supervise businesses’ processing of personal data, a Data Protection Authority has been established. If you are dissatisfied with our processing of your personal data, you can send a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Changes
We may from time to time revise this privacy policy as a result of our processing of personal data changing or as a result of new personal data legislation. When the privacy policy changes, an updated version will be published on our website. In the event of major changes, we will also consider sending the privacy policy directly to your email address, if we have registered this. We still recommend that you review the privacy policy from time to time when you visit our website.
